Our archives

A living memory

Archives are not just dusty old papers. They are the living memory of the Congregation, bringing together all the documents produced or received by the sisters, communities, and provinces from the foundation until today.

Various Material Types

Archives collections include writings (manuscripts, printed documents), audio recordings (oral history, music), visual media (photos, art), three-dimensional objects, and more.

Various Formats

The collections contain various formats: paper, audio or video cassette, film reel, floppy disk, CD, DVD, USB drive, or server.

Capturing moments

Documents can date from the beginning of the Congregation 200 years ago, or from a few years ago… or from yesterday.

Any document can have archival value!

Hope needs archives

The archives contain those documents that reflect the founding charism and its development. To preserve them allows us to remain faithful to the charism and also to trace the passage of God acting in the lives of people through the apostolate of the Sisters.

To preserve and share

An archives is not a museum. The mission is to collect, classify, and preserve heritage in order to transmit the memory of the Cenacle Sisters. A personalized research consultation makes it possible to share this wealth while protecting privacy.
