Founded at a place of pilgrimage, the Cenacle has, since its inception, accompanied people’s journey on this earth, both materially and spiritually.

“To propose to each soul what suits him according to time, the needs and the capacity of his spirit”: this is the goal set by Fr. Terme to the congregation from the beginning. The Sisters therefore naturally came to adapt their apostolate to the different components of society.

The apostolate of the Sisters of the Cenacle is to make Jesus Christ known and loved, while supporting each person’s spiritual journey. To adapt to their audience and the challenges of the times, they develop a variety of resources for leading retreats and providing catechesis.

Because of its international openness, the Cenacle has been confronted for more than a century with the challenge of living interculturality: with the people welcomed and in community.
