Due to its international mission, the Cenacle has faced the challenge of living interculturality for over a century: both with the people it serves and within the congregation.
The sisters enter each country with a spirit of discovery, eager to learn the land and its people so that they can carry out the mission of the Cenacle while respecting local cultures and traditions.
Coming from another country, the sisters need to adapt to the local culture in order to carry out their mission.
Wherever the Cenacle lives its mission, the world meets. The countries in which the Cenacle carries out its mission are multicultural, and the mixing of cultures and social backgrounds creates human challenges. The sisters thus have targeted their ministry to include the full spectrum of the people that they serve.
Internationality has been a lived reality at the very heart of community life since the Congregation’s earliest days.
