Our Lady of the Cenacle
The apostolate of the Sisters of the Cenacle is to make Jesus Christ known and loved, while supporting each person’s spiritual journey. To adapt to their audience and the challenges of the times, they develop a variety of resources for leading retreats and providing catechesis.
From the very beginning of the Congregation, retreats and catechesis have been designed for adults. Over time, they have evolved to meet the needs of contemporary people.
Children’s religious education became a fully-fledged mission of the Cenacle post-World War I. In an area where everything had yet to be invented, the sisters set about creating specialised resources.
The sisters know how to adapt their mission to the realities on the ground. Sister Christine Rasoloarisoa’s account of this bush ministry is an illustration of this.
To reach an ever-wider audience, the sisters have given their retreats an artistic dimension. And art in all its forms is brought into play: musical, culinary, visual, poetic, floral…
