Upon Father Terme’s death in Le Plagnal, the sisters brought in a painter from the neighboring town of Langogne to try and capture the features of their founder. However, the result did not quite live up to the memories of the religious women who had known him. In 1915, the superior of the Sisters of St Regis recounted the events as follows:
“The painter from Langogne had sought to bring to life the features of our revered Father by drawing inspiration from a niece of the deceased. When he delivered the painting, those of our sisters who had known the good Father Terme found certain flaws in the depiction of his facial features.”
This portrait appears to have been kept in the house of the Sisters of St Regis in Aps. Its whereabouts since then are unknown.
