In 1888, Father Vinson’s report on the graces obtained through the intercession of Father Terme was sent to the Congregation. The testimonies that were collected show us Father Terme acting after his death on an ailment from which he had suffered during his lifetime. Thanks to Sister Pacifique, we know that he had been prone to migraines. It is precisely for the healing of headaches that the people of the region prayed to him.
Here is what the Secretary General wrote after reading the report:
“I wanted to begin by telling you that the papers promised by the Bishop of Viviers were sent to me from Paris last evening. They contain accounts of about forty healings, nearly all of which have taken place since 1882. While the facts may not be particularly striking, they at least prove that the people have great trust. I was surprised to see that headaches are mentioned so many times in these accounts, but I found the explanation in a testimony from a parish priest. It seems that Father Terme’s specialty is curing headaches and migraines, and that this is the principal reason why people pray to him.”
