Learning how to make baskets

Source : ACF, 3S2 /44.3

In Madagascar, the sisters discovered the sobikas: large traditional woven baskets used to hold and carry (often on the head) goods or provisions, particularly the provisions brought by families as a contribution to a retreat. Sister Anne Madeleine encouraged the young women who are hard at work making them, and Sister Jacoba actively participated in the crafting process.
