Father Terme and Mother Thérèse, before being founders, were Christians like any others. Beyond their common heritage, the documents and objects reveal distinct individualities.

The Congregation’s current charism draws its inspiration from the spiritual insights of its founders, which have been passed down and enriched over time.
Today, the Congregation recognises the joint work of Father Terme and Mother Thérèse as its origins. But the road to arrive there was a long one.
As the role of founders was recognised, there was a growing desire to learn more about them, including through images. Between realism and devotion, the iconography of the founders varies, reflecting the sensibilities of the era.
